Blankets of Hope

But I cannot sew! No problem....

Soldiers' Angels and Dee Jerge, the Blankets of Hope Team Leader, have developed a NO-SEW BLANKET! All you need to add is your hopes and prayers.

Soldiers Angels Blankets of Hope are made with love and gratitude for the service of our wounded and deployed, as well as our veterans. They are used on hospital beds, transport litters on medevac flights and wheelchairs. They bring a message from a stranger that each servicemember is loved and not forgotten.

Blanket Guidelines:
1. Blankets with batting: suggested fabrics are cotton and flannel.
2. Fleece blankets: "single-sided" fleece should be backed with another fabric - flannel works well. Double sided fleece - please serge/bind the edges. Hand tie fleece are easy and fun to do and very popular with the troops.
3. Crochet/Knit blankets will be directed to the VA system. Please make them 36" wide by 48" long. When ready to send, please contact: sa.veteransvp@gmail.com or twylachoate@tx.rr.com 4. Colors: bright colors and patriotic colors work best - most of the recipients are men.
5. Sizes: blankets should be in the range of 45"-55" wide by 65"-80" long - please no less than 45" wide or no longer than 80".
6. When you have your blanket/s ready - please roll each one up tightly, tie with a ribbon, tag with a note:....."made with love and gratitude for your service by _______ from soldiers angels" - add your name/address/email.

NOTE: please add an additional note inside the box with your name/email on it so you can be notified of its' arrival.

7. Send them to: Soldiers Angels 914 Tourmaline Drive Newbury Park, CA 91320
