If you are close to Round Rock, Soldiers' Angels and the Round Rock Express are partnering up to collect donations for Care Packages, Vet Packs and First Response Backpacks. On June 22nd, their second Military Appreciation Night of the season, fans can bring care package items to a table set up outside the Home Plate gate at the Dell Diamond. For each donation item, the Round Rock Express is providing one free general admission ticket (limit 10 tickets) for the grass berm in the outfield. Soldiers' Angels will have an information table set up inside the ballpark, as well.
So, grab a blanket, a few donation items from the list and head out to the Dell Diamond for an enjoyable evening of Triple-A baseball as the Express take on the Albuquerque Isotopes. First pitch is 7:05 (but be sure to be there for the singing of the National Anthem!), and gates open at 6:05pm.
If you are an Austin area Angel interested in volunteering, please contact Lisa Luhrman at blogs -at- soldiersangels -dot- org by June 14th.

Letters for Lyrics
Have you been by your local Dodge dealership to mail a letter to a deployed soldier yet? The following is a notice put out via Soldiers' Angels.
Executives from Chrysler Group LLC, Zac Brown Band and Soldiers' Angels stood wingtip-to-wingtip to announce the launch of Letters For Lyrics, a massive, nationwide effort to send one million letters to support our U.S. troops stationed across the world.
The project began on May 10 and in exchange for a letter, participants will receive a "Breaking Southern Ground" CD featuring three all-new songs from Zac Brown Band and songs from artists signed to the Southern Ground label. Visit your local Dodge or Ram Truck Dealer to write a card and get your CD, or join the Band at one of their concerts this summer.
As the organization that will deliver the 1,000,000 postcards to from Americans across the country to our servicemen and women around the world, Soldiers’ Angels is honored to be part of this exciting endeavor. For video of today’s event and for more info on the Letters for Lyrics program, including the latest official news, please visit Chrysler's Blog and ZacBrownBand.com.
