Help Veterans Affected by Texas Fires

I'm sure you are all aware of the rash of destructive wildfires in Texas. Our very own Patti Patton-Bader and Toby Nunn have been displaced from their homes because of them. I am happy to report that a Texas Department of Public Safety officer surveyed their neighborhood, and both their homes are reported to be still standing.


However, hundreds of other families have not been so lucky. While Patti and Toby can't go home yet, there are veterans here in Texas affected by the fires, some of whom will have no homes to go back to. At least two of those veterans are just returned from Afghanistan...

Progress is being made on these fires, but many are still burning and are only partially contained. Even for those who haven't lost their homes, they may not be allowed to return home for several days.
